Off topic, but prayers (or positive vibes) needed

My wonderful 11-year-old niece was just diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma - a childhood bone cancer. She will shortly begin an aggressive treatment of three months of chemotherapy, followed by surgery to remove the cancerous bone (upper left arm bone), followed by another nine months of chemo. We are hopeful that future tests will find the cancer is only in the one bone and has not metastasized (probably spelled that wrong!). Testing so far indicates that that is the case, but more tests follow this week. Due to reduced immunity because of the chemo, she will not be able to attend school until her treatment is over. If you're the praying type, please add Emily Grace to your prayers. And if you're not, please send positive vibes to her in Monument, Colorado.

Twister, will keep her in my prayers. How sad. My husband is preparing to go through chemo for lymphoma but it is apparently very curable so we are very hopeful.

life is not fair. ever. im sorry to hear that.

i pray that she will be very healthy and recover well from all of this.

kids are the best thing in our life - they deserve the best because of that.
