    CA - Means Test

A quick calculation shows my last 6 month figures show I'm over by 1,500 w/ household of 2. I don't believe this will chg next month due to job being commission based. Can others chime in and state if it's much harder for a petiton to pass ch 7 if I'm over median by 2k or less?

I was over the median by about $1800ish (I can't remember the exact number) but I still passed the means test and everything went smoothly for me.

It's all about your expenses. If they are large enough and acceptable to the court, you'll be OK.

whew ok good to hear, with my mortage along with utillities and car payment, I'm left with 500 dollars for food and misc. Was planning on dumping car loan but may have to keep afterall. Bummer, car is well under value since I broke a previous loan and tacked on 3k to this one.

Once the means test is completed you will be fine. We were over originally, but once you include all of your secured debt and vehicle expenses, it will work out.
