    It's over!

The 60 day wait is finally over and 3 days later I'm discharged and the case is closed!

Since filing, I was able to save about $2,000 for an emergency fund and pay about $500 for car repairs.

Thank you all for the advise that was given to me.

Good job man. So how was the 341 meeting, and how long did the complete process take.
This isn't legal advice, I'm in the same boat you are.

          Talked to lawyer Feb 25,2010

They are generally close together if it is a no-asset case. In an "asset" case it could be a up to a year or longer between disharge and closing of the BK.

The 341 meeting was painless, was done with the trustee in less than 5 minutes. Unfortunately the trustee was running about 1 1/2 hours behind that day. Mainly due to some cases that went less than smooth. As far as the whole process, I retained the attorney and filed on December 11, 2009 and March 11 it's over.

Everyone else, thanks for the congrat's.

Angelina, thanks for the hamster dance.... as disturbing as it is. Now I'm going to go to sleep and have nightmares involving killer hamsters.
