I was discharged on 12/13/05 when i do my taxes for 2005 do I need to inform my tax person about the BK.

it wouldnt matter if you did or not for most cases. if you dont want to then dont. otherwise go ahead and see if it matters.
certain carry forward losses from the past are not allowable once you enter bk adn the trustee owns the estate. it is being told to me that he keeps any IRS benefits from prior years and you have to stop reporting them.
however, if that is the case then i also understand that if you were discharged in 2006 then the benefits could still be used to file 2005 taxes in 2006 year as normal.
this doesnt affect most people.Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!
