After filing, do we continue to make the payments on things like car payment since I will be reaffirming that loan?

Yes, continue making your payments on time for any secured property you intend to keep. You may however have to send payments to a different address once you've filed. My CU locked me out of my account since I was bk'ing a credit card, and now I have to mail payments to the BK dept.

Absolutely. You have to stay current. Will a reaffirmation be in your best interest? In my case, the CU did not offer the ride-through program. After careful consideration, I decided to sign the agreement and keep my car.

Check state law with your attorney before reaffirming vehicle. In some states as long as you keep payments current the lender cannot take back the vehicle.
