I forgot to list a auto loan

And they showed up at DH ex- wifes house trying to serve us (please don't ask, this is as close as the skip tracers could come, I guess) this car was repo'ed in 2000 or 2001, I thought I listed it. Any way I have revised once and I used verrant and they said I can't revise again. I am supposed to be discharged Feb 8 or somthing. So now I don't know how to revise and need some help from someone with advise, experience and encouragement cause I am feeling Oct 14th nervousesness all over again.

    what is verrant?

you can amend your bk petition as many times as you want to.

also, when filing chap 7 some states allow a mistake to happen. if you forget to list a creditor and didnt remember until after your bk case was closed then it is the same as if it was listed. check your state specifics.

if you want to change something, take the page you want to change to the court with the new information and make the changes as they recommend. sometimes it only costs under $30. other times its free. just depends what and how you make changes.

filed in GA, so basically I need to add this creditor and the amount and change the amount owed sections only and submit only those pages?

That is doable, I will call tomorrow to make sure they will accept that.

Every attny we've spoken to so far is requiring we pull our Credit Report to look for anything we may have "forgotten". May be part of the new law requirements. May be they are doing CYA cause of the new laws. One attny gave us the web address of site we can get our CR for free. One attny is charging a fee to get CR's for clients from all 3 reporting agencies.
          Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
          Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
          Closed - 04/2007

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

i dont see why, there was nothing that i have seen in changes regarding listing of creditors.

mine wanted $45. told her to eat me eggs-n-sausage biscut first for that price.

You can amend your BK petition up until discharge. AFter discharge, would possibly need to reopen case-different can of worms.

If the account was joint w/ the EX, the EX is still responsible...

PS-use your credit report as a guide, but list ANY creditor that you think you might owe. Plenty of things, for us, were not on the credit report:

2 medical bills for DH-we had fun looking for those statements! ~$350
1 medical bill for DD that I was responsible for, insurance didn't pay in full ~650
Collection for ended cell plan ~$850
              Misc. other collection ~$1100
Judgement dh had on old apartment-had already come off credit report, but judgements can be renewed~$2500

Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.
