    Discharged~~~WOOHOOO

    I checked Pacer yesterday, and I am officially Discharged and closed on my Chapter 7! WOOHOO!!!!

    Many thanks to all those on the board who answered questions and provided helpful information.

    Now onto rebuilding my credit...cleaning up credit reports...getting life back into order...

            The dicharge was the 22nd, and it reported closed on the 24th. How long does it usually take/how long have you been waiting?

              discharge was the 17th, still waiting for closing

                closing can take as long as it takes the court to wrap it up. every court is different. closing doesnt matter much. if you got the discharge then its over for 99.99999999% of the people. dont worry about it.

                    By the way, I just started reading a really great book about post-bankruptcy credit. I heard about it on here, & it's actually pretty good:

                    "Credit After Bankruptcy"
                    by Stephen Snyder

                    The only thing is that there's a lot of religious mumbo jumbo; I didn't buy the book to listen to Jesus sermons. If you're not into religious lectures (like me) you should just ignore those parts, because despite that the book is extremely beneficial. I definitely recommend it; it's really informative for people in our situation.

                      did it explain how the court would have handled the food expenses since he could turn water into wine and such? i think he would have only been able to list water as an expense no?
