more bad news
We got a letter tonight from a firm representing Kay Jewelers. It's the same story as before. Because we (our attorney is stupid) didn't reaffirm or redeem the secured account in the bankruptcy, now they are ready to come and get the collateral. They -- the Kay attorneys (of course) are all out of the office for the night, but I was curious what my options are going to be. The collateral in this case is my wife and I's wedding jewelry which we obviously are not going to surrender. I spoke with Kay Jewelers a while ago and they informed me that I just needed to continue making payments to them in order to show them that I still want to keep the jewelry. We were doing that, then I got this letter today. What gives? Am I going to have to come up with the whole amount, or will they likely set us up on a monthly payment schedule? Or am I SOL?
guess what, i'm reliving the car thing all over again, but this time, it's a much much worse anxiety. please help!
