Not sure about the law there, but he better get a good pre-nup. When you divorce him, don't you qualify for alimony and parts of his possessions as well? Wow, he better know the consequences of this.

I don't know about it being fraud since you are getting married then plan on divorcing just to get health insurance. But I am filing for bankruptcy (I am currently 'single') but on Sept 15 I am getting married. My attorney said that didn't matter, that I would still be classified as single, b/c I am single at the time of filing. I am legitimately getting married though.

I'm not like that at all Uni. He is going me a REALLY nice favor and doing this to help me have medical coverage. I wouldn't EVER plan on screwing him over like that.
