student loan refund for lawyer

My lawyer said it was ok but thought I would ask.

Is it ok for me to use part of my student loan refund to pay my lawyer

That's what I did, otherwise it would have taken me a long time to save for an attorney. This was never questioned by the trustee.

i told him I could take my monthly income and pay him or my loan. he said since I would want to wait to file till after I get my loan I should pay my bills and then use the loan. I figured it was ok
