mailing matrix

i was on pacer looking at the mailing matrix and noticed
BANK OF AMERICA HOME LOANS SRVICING

thats my home mortgage holder
the thing is i am not on the mortgage ,the mortgage is under my wifes name and she didn't file ,i filed alone.

whats it doing there?
does it mean they are going to be notified?
will this damage my wifes credit?

will this damage my wifes credit? Maybe temporarily, but it shouldn't. After your case closes, pull her credit reports and make sure it is not there. What one spouse does is not allowed to effect the other spouse (except of course joint accts)

it must of been my attorney
can it be corrected by the attorney ?

Were they on your credit report before you filed and did you provide a credit report to your attorney. I supplied my attorney with my credit report prior to filling and he put every creditor on the matrix whether or not the account was open or closed or had a balance. He did this just to make sure everything was included and everyone was on notice. After discharge, I had to clean up a couple of accounts on my new credit report that were old and closed but because they got notice they reported IIB.

Hi again scorpion35,

Probably can be amended, but it probably doesn't need to be since you aren't on the mortgage. BOA gets the notice, you don't come up on the computer, notice goes in the circular file.

Your attorney probably put everyone and the kitchen sink on the creditors matrix, standard operating procedure. Might speak to your attorney though, maybe there are some community property laws they were thinking about....?

But that is a stretch, probably case of no harm, no foul.....
