    what is going on ?

here is my situation, chapter 7 no asset case, discharged on 1/17/2006. Still waiting for closing as of today. Original trustee for some reason that is unknown transfered case to another tuestee on 2/22/2006. Looked on pacer today and a document appears where the new trustee is hiring his own law firm work the case..................new document states his firm has no interest in the estate and are qualified to investigate preferential treatment or transfers. Is this just legal talk required to transfer the case to another trustee because for whatever reason the original trustee could not finish the case.

Has me concerned, there is some land in the estate that is in the middle of nowhere that I guess they could sell but my case is listed as "no asset". On the document from the original trustee he calimed he was out no expense or did not distribute any assets. Any opinions or idea?

One attny acted like that was a big deal. The preferential payments thing. Where they have you list all Creditors you've paid $600 or more to in the last 90 days. He wanted to wait until all that dropped off.

Another attny said it was no big deal for us. He said that's for the Trustee to worry with. It's money the Trustee can go after and get back from the Creditors.

Maybe your first Trustee got ill or had some sort of personal, family crisis to deal with. Even tho they sometimes don't act like it, Trustees are human too.
