    Hmmm.....discharge/pacer information question

Checked Pacer today out of morbid curiosity. Chapter 7 was filed October 16 (old laws) and 341 held 12/29/05. Last date for objections is 02/27, but it says the trustee's report of no assets was not posted until January 3, 2006 and that I am 53 days status waiting for discharge. I would ASSUME that means that even though the last date for objections is 02/27 that I cannot expect to be discharged until 60 days AFTER that last entry by the trustee?

    Any insight appreciated.

    *holding my breath*

Well, my last date for objections was 02/21/06. (For the longest time I thought it was the 23rd.) Anyway, that day came & went and I was in 'discharged' status as of 2/24/06. Hope that helps.

My last day for objections was January 14, 2006 but case was not discharged until February 17, 2006 (entered in Pacer on 2/19). Then, as an early birthday present? my case was closed on February 22, 2006 and entered in Pacer the same day, so go figure.

I'm fairly certain that your discharge can came anytime after the "days status" shows 60 days or more--that's how I interpret it anyhow. I think you might be pleasantly surprised when you are discharged a week to 10 days after the 60 day mark. It does look like some discharges and closures happen right away, and others take more time.
