I'm Free!!!

After a hellish 90 days I am free and my Chapter 7 was discharged today! Stress from the start being pegged presumption of abuse due to a large severance payment I can now finally start over. I will work hard to pay cash for as much as I can, stay away from credit cards and not get into this situation ever again!!

Now the next hurdle is my foreclosure and I am hoping I will be able to stay in my house as long as possible to make back the large down payment I put down when I bought my home..

Thanks all for you advice and such. I will still be around to give support and remember DO NOT PUT DIRECT TV down as a creditor that you are reaffirming.. My lawyer listed this and my Direct TV was shut off right away... Lucky AT&T and Comcast kept me without a world, I have never been late on my utilities!! My lawyer should never had listen them, not sure why he did.. Direct TV was extremely rude after being their customer for 13 years ( Never late )

Anyway its what we learn from this experience that makes us stronger, and never get in this situation again!

luna, I followed your journey as we too had a severance payout, but our attorney told us wait till it dropped off and that we did and I hope I have a smooth sailing for now till discharge.

Great news. You should try to stay in the home as long as possible, and might consider an attorney who can find creative, yet legal ways for you to do so.

My friend has been in his home for over 2 years now, and he went from a stressful situation to a very good cash position.
