Hello everyone, i was discharged on 2-23-06, and am still waiting for my case to close. my attorney said there was still a small chance the trutee could object. my question is- has anyone been discharged and then had the trustee object? and will this ever really be over? thanks

The trustee could still take assets if you have any that are not exempt, but that is all I am aware of...Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

Here's hoping that Trustee "gives up the ghost" and lets you live in peace in a few days..........Minny

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

I was discharged on 2/13/06. Still not closed. Wish it was, but not really sweating it. Could be because of backlog. Could be because of my having to make quarterly payments on outside income through 2006.
I don't know. I know that I can't control it. I spen $.08 every day or two checking PACER status and then try to let it go.
Best just to deal with what comes up as it comes up. I know that we all hate waiting. After all, isn't that what credit cards are all about? No waiting...buy it now. No need to decide between groceries and fun items...you can have both.
I have been living without credit cards since August 2005 and still miss them every month, and my credit card debt was "under semi-control" until I lost my job and they raised all of my interest rates.
As my ex-wife's grandfather told me before we were married..."There's nothing to be ashamed of in being poor, but it's not much fun either."
