I filed chapter 7 back in September of 2008. It was discharged in January of 2009. I'm looking at my credit report and all of my debts say charged off under the payment with a special comment of Chapter 7 bankruptcy. When I look at my payment history I was either current or late up until my file date. The charge offs didn't take place until Nov, Dec, or January. These debts shouldn't be listed as charge offs? I have one account that keeps posting as charged off every month and this is reflecting poorly on my credit as if I have been late on a payment.
In addition under my experian under payment history many of my debts are listed as in chapter 7 with the date of 1/09 and then they say derogatory. This is continuing to effect my credit even when they should be discharged? What do I need to do?!
