Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

Ok, new development...
My Reaffirm papers were entered 3/1, but they were all signed by me and my attorney on 2/14..
I was discharged 2/27...
So does the fact that the reaffirm is dated prior to discharge mean anything, or does the fact that it wasn't entered until after the discharge mean that the papers are null and void...
My case still isn't closed if that means anything...

Not sure... What date were they filed at the courthouse? You could always call and ask the clerk. Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. The date the papers were signed is what is important and will probably hold up........
Tho a Trustee could ignore and consider them void if he really wanted too.... because they had not been filed yet.
But most don't.
Lots of paperwork is slow in getting recorded and posted at the courthouse and on pacer....Minny

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Something got missed in our Car Re-Affirmation thing too. We have our loan through Ford Motor Credit. I called the phone number they gave me and the guy was really helpful. I kind of pryed a little and he told me as long as you keep paying around every 30 days they won't bother you. He even said "you just don't want to go 60 days +?" It is in their BEST interest that you keep paying and keep your car. They make more money that way. You'd be surprised how helpful people can be but you might have to swallow a little pride and get embarresed now and then. He also told me if I was going to be late just give them a call and let them know when they could expect the payment. Good Luck.

Its in their best interest until you only owe like $500 on a car worth $2000 that they can get at auction...
THEN, it is in their best interest to REPO, and get the extra $1500 out of you, when you almost had them paid off...
I am not worried about staying current at this point, now my worry is losing my positive trade line on my credit...
