Congrats! Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

Congratulations
Glad to hear that your wait is over and filing on your own was a success. There's hope for those considering going the pro-se route particularly if they have a non-complicated simple no asset case. You must let us know how the process of rebuilding your credit will be.

In nine weeks I'll be two years from discharge but the case took six months to close."You once asked me for advice. You want some now? Never pass up a good thing." Thanks robivi. BTW, were you the one always complaining about the cost of living in south florida? I don't blame you. You might want to consider north florida. I live in atlantic beach, which is east of jacksonville, north of st augustine. I currently make minimum wage, and without any debts now I live comfortably working about 30 hours a week. I have no luxuries of course, but the necessities are very affordable. I was paying only 350$ for 6 months full coverage on a 95 camaro, until after I filed I upped my coverages beyond state minimums. I live in a waterfront condo on the intracoastal waterway across from the naval station with roommates. These condos go for about 120k. Less for the ones that are not on the water. Last summer we ran our central ac and 2 window units in the warmer rooms, and electricity never exceeded 200$. And of course with jacksonville being the largest city in fl, there is no shortage of work no matter what field you are in. So no more griping about high costs, go where you gotta go and things can change for you!
