    Cash in wife's account

    Greetings-

If I file a 7 individually (all the bad is debt is in my name only) and put our cash in my wife's bank account do I have to disclose this asset when I file?

    Thank-you

Yes. It is still an asset, and you have to disclose ALL assets. Please don't move assets around trying to hide them from the bk courts. Nothing good ever comes of this.

I'm not an attorney. My replies are merely suggestions or observations, not legal advice. As always, consult with an attorney before making any decisions.

Newbie2 is absolutely correct. That is called fraud and is a felony. If you co-mixed funds, it is an asset. If she had her own account and put her OWN money in it (it would be checked) then that would fly. After the fact will get you dismissed at the LEAST. 'Hub
