Auto Loan while in bankruptcy

Has anyone had any luck getting a auto loan while in bankruptcy? I filed Chapter 7 3/2/2011 I am not sure when Navy Federal is going to come and get my car so I am worried and I would just like to get another car so I can rest at night...does anyone have any suggestions?

My attorney told me not to get any loans until after discharge. This is just my experience. You should also be protected under the automatic stay once you filed, so they can't come and take the car until that time OR if they motion for the automatic stay to be lifted and it's granted, then they could take the car.

We were also advised against taking any loans prior to discharge. We were able to save enough after filing to buy acheap cash car to get us through. We are now making "payments" to ourself, and saving for the next one.
