    Totally Confused

I have been trying to find out what the mortgage company considers current....so I called them today and I was told it depends on state laws?! They will request to lift the stay according to the state laws! Can someone tell me where I can find my state laws regarding this? Thanks in advance, I am in New Jersey. Thanks!!!

"Current" is generally within the grace period as specified in the note, however, they can't report you to the credit companies until you're 30 days past due. (Most lenders also won't consider you a "default" unless your 30 days as well)
