We filed ch7 and had our 341 the other day, everything very accurate and up front. Did not reafirm our mortgages, current on the first havent paid second in over 10 months, we would like to contact 2nd mortgage and see if they will negotiate a buyout, my inlaws are offereing to either buyout the 2nd (for a reduced amount) or help us with a down and co-sign for a new home after sometime. Our dismissal date is the end July, when would you contact the 2nd and start the negotiation process? Can they come back mid July and protest??? Are there other hazards that I am not seeing?
