I can sympathize with your situation, life is difficult enough....

Having to change from one job to another (lower pay) because of health reasons may not make any difference to the Court..... many folks loose jobs, move, etc..... and their pay scale changes.

If you filed a chapter 7 - I'm sure it won't......... but you could file on the student loans and see what they say. Maybe you'll get lucky and the fact that you have high medical bills that will be continous might help.

On a Chapter 13 you might be able to get your payment plan adjusted to accomodate the high medical bills that you incurr.... I'm sure the Court would work with you on that.....

    Keep me posted.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

First I was part of a downsizing (700 of us got hit from a high tech company); and then when I was looking for a new job, anything around my old salary was 85-100% travel and I just couldn't do that anymore and risk my health since the last time I had done that, I wound up hospitalized and out of work of disability for 6 months.
