    Absolutely. Especially when the second mortgage has a huge balance. Although we might have been able to settle for "pennies on the Dollar", at $150K, that still would have left us with many "pennies" to pay...

      You are right. From your perspective these pennies add up to thousands quickly. In my case it is 34K. Hoping to settle for 2.5-3.5K
