Question on paying off a Jetski from someone that did CH7

Hi All,
My neighbor filed BK7 sometime in 2011 it was discharged, he has a jetski that he stopped paying and gave it to me is I pay what is due is $900 bucks wish I am ok with, will there be any issue with the title? can this be taken away after is paid? I don't want to pay this thing and then I don't ever get the title.

I am in CH13 my self but as long as I pay cash there is no problem.

Make sure you pay the lien holder directly.

Assets you acquire after filing BK (even chap 13) are not an issue. The only potential issue, but $900 is really too small for anyone to care, is where you are getting the money to pay for it.

But you should NOT have any issue with the neighbor's chapter 7. At least make sure the case is closed, not just discharged.
