I filed Chapter 7 on the 25th which was this past Monday ... as of today, Friday, March 1st, the phone has stopped ringing!! I am in amazement that everything happened so fast! My attorney did say at my initial consultation that once the case is filed it's like a runaway train...everything happens very fast. I am a bit nervous about the 341!! I did just read an article which ended with the comment "more than 99% of the bankrupcies filed are discharged". That statement alone has made me breath easier!! This "forum" is worth it's weight in gold, so glad to have found it!!

Isn't it a great feeling? Whew! I stopped paying the cc late last spring and had to wait all this time to get the money to file, but in the meantime I had my cell phone on silent since then. So glad I don't have a land line. Had a few problems at work with them but they backed me up and told them I only took emergency calls. We're kind of going to be going thru this at the same time! Did you get a date for your creditor meeting? -
"TRfromillino" no date set for the 341 yet...I suspect it'll be the 27th-ish or possibly the following Wednesday. I did look on "Pacer" and saw who the trustee will be and then went to his law office website to read his bio. I'm sure my son in law knows him [he's an attorney] but since I have told no one of my Bk I can't ask any questions. All I can say is I'll be glad when I can put this behind me and start anew!! Fingers crossed for both of us and everyone else going thru this!!Comment
