question i havent seen yet.please help!

hi guys!im new and this is my first time writing in.this board is great.everyone seems really cool.my question is this.i plan to file chapter 7 very soon.my lawyer wants my last three bank statements.now over the summer i got really behind on bills.worse then i ever have.i didnt know what to do untill a friend mentioned ebay.well i looked into it and i did really well.i made around 1700 dollars selling stuff.it shows in all my bank statements.do you guys think this will effect anything?it was mostly toys that i sold.any advice would be appreciated.it was mostly from june.i did sign up for a debt settlement program in july and blew 500 dollars.i just had a bad feeling.i then called a debt management program.it was called in charge.the lady was really nice and after taking all my information said i didnt qualify because it was to much for my budget.she mentioned bankruptcy.i said no because they put your name in the paper and take all your stuff.(thats what the debt settlement guy told me)so after she told me that wasnt true here i am.what do you all think?i live in new york.

I sold jewelry to make ends meet.

Every attny we consulted with asked if I sold for more than a I paid. NOPE. No problem.

What did I do with the money? Took the check straight to the Bank and deposited it. I had the receipt for the sale, and bank statements show the deposit. Bank statements also show the money was used to pay bills. Rent, utilities, Creditors and such.

I'd say, as long as you sold the toys and such for less than you paid, and you have a paper trail showing the money was used for necessities, you should be OK there.

Others have tried the Debt Settlement route prior to filing BK also. Don't feel bad about that. And don't worry about having to justify the money that you spent there either. You were trying, in good faith, to pay your bills.
