I have to rent an apt. The place I live now wants to raise my rent to over 750.00. because the Real Estate Builders are building now condos. Im waiting for a new development to be finished at a more reasonable rate. Well I have all the paperwork in except one thing. They need papers or something stating my Chapter 7 is discharged. I guess Im bummed I called my lawyer and they said it was out of their hands and it usually takes abour 3 weeks for my to receive the papers. So basically I need stay where Im at and take away my 60 day notice, and they only have 3 houses left vacant to rent. IS there anyway I can call the court and see if it can be expidited. I really need that paper so they can finish my application. TIA!

my rental office said that they needed proof that is was dischargeds otherwise they have to put my whole app on hold, which puts me in a bad place. I just talked to my landlord, they have a renter already, Im to move out in 3 weeks ugh, but the apt complex will not have any available for me. So I guess its back to the drawing board now. I gotta find somewhere to live.Filed: 4/28/06

That sure does leave you in a really bad spot, so sorry to hear that.
If you look in your BK papers, the orginial filing, the clerk's number will be found there.
I've read some posts here where people have called the clerk's office and had the discharge completed while they were on hold.
If you were able to accomplish this, you could print the discharge from Pacer and have it, possibly as soon as today.
It's worth a try.
Good luck to you, I wish you all the best and wish I could be more helpful to you.

pacer is a system maintained by the bankruptcy courts and has all of our information listed. You can view your information and anything going on with your bankruptcy on pacer, I don't know when you were discharged but you can check pacer and see if the information has been scanned into the system. the website for pacer is http://pacer.psc.uscourts.gov
This should help you.Discharged 2/27/06, closed 6/1/06

I looked on the pacer this morning and it sayson the case summary Discharged with 8/29/06, I take it im done. So maybe I can take this into the Real Estate for proof. I did call the Deputy Clerk of Bankruptcy and he said they can also call and verify. I hope this works until I get my papers in the mail.Filed: 4/28/06

Hopefully, it will work for you Mystique!!
Just print off copies of the Discharge page and submit to them. Maybe include a note, or explain in person that the copy is from PACER and you'll provide a copy of the letter from the Trustee when it arrives.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
