Has anyone successfully had their intertest rates reduced on their credit card balances? Interest rates have been lowered again and again by the Fed but those 30% finance charges remain on my credit card accounts (because one payment to one credit card was late...)

Not us, and we had perfect credit, late by 2 days in Nov over a 7 yr period. They wouldn't budge. They said, well just keep making payments on time, maybe next review, which we were told was a year away, they might reconsider our rate. Gee Thanks! And in the meantime, we starve is that right? They couldn't care less. CC co. are evil, they don't have to follow the rules of good customer/bad customer, they can do whatever they want. That's why theirs so many of us here. We even told them we would have to talk to a lawyer, they didn't care. Tough S..., so we called a lawyer almost immediately after that call, and now here we are.
Hope you have better luck then we did. Doesn't hurt to ask, but if your high on your limits and have many cards, which we did, not sure it will do any good. Funny thing though, after we quit paying cards, some cards have offered to settle for less, I asked them, Where were you before we called a lawyer, I have even explained, why we are in BK and which cc pushed us here. No way we are settling for less now, they have all gotten what we borrowed in interest.Filed Chapter 7 June 4 ~ 341 July 20 ~Last day of objections Sept 18~Discharged/Closed Sept 21
