Ok, so we have decided to file bk 13. Attorney told us to stop paying credit cards. Did that almost a month ago. I am now getting unknown name and number calls both at home and work. They never leave a message. Why? My attorney told me to refer them to him when they began calling.

When will they begin to leave messages?

Those are most like creditors. Best to answer the calls, tell them the truth as hard as it is to say those words out loud, tell them you're filing BK and to please contact your lawyer, give them his name and number and some may want his address. Soon as you begin telling them you're filing, the calls will most likely stop ours did. The more you avoid them, the more they will call, may even call you're place of employment. Good Luck!
