The Post Office tried to deliver a registered letter today from one of my creditors...Do I accept???

I accepted one. It was a laughable attempt to scare me. Since we were filing within 2 months I did not even respond to it.

Depends on your situation if you should accept it. Only you can answer that one.

Go ahead and accept it. Probably some statement that if you do not settle up with us by XX day, we will sue you. Go ahead accept it, read it, put it in the pile of papers to take to the lawyer for when you file or meet with them.

Yes, accept the letter...almost EVERY procedural rule only requires that the letter/notice/whatever be SENT.

Thus, accepting the letter rarely has a negative impact.

          Yes, accept it.
IF they are sueing you, it is better to know about it, than to not know about it.
          7/01/10 - filed!
          11/20/10 - discharged and closed

Yes, accept it. If they are threatening you with a law suit, and you don't respond, they might get a default judgment against you possibly with the ability to garnish your wages and/or levy your bank account.
