We lived with my in-laws for about 7 months while our house was being built over 5 years ago. We've been getting all the phone calls all day long, but we have caller ID and never answer or turn the ringer off on our phones at times. My in-laws will answer the phone because they are of that generation that always answers the phone no matter what, even though they have caller ID.
We haven't told me about our situation because they are sort of part of the reason we are in the mess (long story). We are handling it on our own and haven't told anyone.
Any ideas of what to say so they will stop asking questions when collectors call them asking for us?
