I don't recall offhand your history. Have you filed? Or told the callers you were in the process of filing? 'HUb

It could be that you are approaching 180 days chargeoff or close to it. Theymay be reviewing your history and deciding the next step. You'll know if the calls begin from CA's.

Advanta kept calling and leaving messages that they need to know my location..Indian folks..they have my address.. Oh well never thought I could make it this far with all the calls..Now the time is approaching and a new level of anxiety..and I'll make it thru that also.

Is it better to file before a charge off for your credit score or does it matter?

I have 2 creditors who call almost daily (3 or 4 times a day) eventhough I have given them my lawyers information. They say they will continue to call until they are provided with a case number. I'll be filing end of the month/1st of March.

1 leaves messages from time to time telling me various lies. 1 that since I filed CH. 13 before (12 years ago) I cannot file on the debt with them I have now. Another message stated the number for "X" law firm I provided was not correct. I never told them the name of the firm, just the lawyer's name so another big fat lie.

You could be like us, my wife didn't, for the most part, put the portable phones (3) back in their chargers and the phones' batteries went dead.

Same here actually...account is charged off at the end of Oct. Calls started Nov. 3 from Nationwide Credit.
They called several times a day until the first week of Jan. The last contact was from an attorney representing Nationwide Credit. It's actually been about 3 weeks since I've had any calls at all and I've never DV or sent a C&D... Just never picked up the phone at all.

Makes me wonder up their up to now?

We just turned our ringer off for about 3 mos until we had retianed our atty. Once retained, we answered, gave the info, and haven't had a ring since! Still a couple creditors we've not talked to, but they are not called either.

I had the same thing happen, don't worry it will pick back up! However once I told them all I was filing and I had an attorney it got real quiet again.
