I'm one of the lucky ones in the IE. I bought in 2002 so my home is only $100K less than I paid in 2002. Also, I have to drive an hour+ each way just to get to an area that has jobs but at least I have a job when so many here do not.

My cousin bought a house last July for $300K just down the street from me. It sold in November 2007 for $850K. Ouch!

only an hour huh ?? thats not bad. try driving to Long beach for 22 years. You must be one of my neighbors
