Debt verification, or Debt Validation, which is what?

Ok, so upon reviewing my DV letter, I noticed that this particular DV letter that I copied and pasted from BTW. It says it is not requesting verification, but validation.

When I check the FTC website, it clearly states that the portion of the FDCPA, that gives you the right, is called VERIFICATION, not validation.

So how should I be wording my DV letter?

Either way, I'm sure the collector understands the premise. But I like to be precise.

LoL, I suppose you are right, but when I look at some sample debt validation letters, they ask for all kinds of things, that arent really in the FDCPA, and they sight case law that backs up the types of requests that they are asking for. So, anyway I word it, if I simply include FDCPA in the paragraph, they get the idea.
