How do I dispute a few different types of collections?

I have a few collections that are past the 4-year status of limitations (PA). I want to dispute them online directly on the credit bureaus web site but some say writing letters directly is best.

I have a voluntary repo from 2003 that is from Americredit and it has always been with the original debtor. Can this be disputed or should I wait until it falls off in Aug 2010? And when it's time for it to fall off, does it come off automatically or do I have to mail a letter to all 3 bureaus?

I have some credit cards all under $1,000 that is less then two years old. I know I can't dispute these but what's the procedure on offering a settlement? Do I need something in writing stating that the debt is paid/satisfied even though it might only be half of the original debt?

I started a spreadsheet, keeping track of all the collections/debts so I can monitor my progress. I'm planning on buying a house in the next 18 months and hope my credit is repaired by then.

Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.

You might get better results using a forum related to credit repair. Try googling "credit net." There is some excellent advice on a few boards related to credit repair. Best to you.
