Lawsuit #7 - The card that pays you back

Checked the court docket and found that Discover filed against my wife recently, that makes 5 suits for her and 2 for me. There appears to be a strong correlation between real estate ownership and lawsuits by the major national credit cards, the house is in her name and she has gotten sued by Chase, Citi, and Discover, for me, no house and 2 suits, one by a casino (they sue everybody) and the other by a JDB. Another $200 of economic stimulus money for the state of NJ. (that's the filing fee here in regular civil court.)

As I've said before I don't think they've fixed their lending model to account for real estate prices going down.

That would be interesting if thats the case. Several of my cards are with Citi, and so is my mortgage, which i'm current on. you would think they would take that into account, since a garnishment etc., would cause me to be unable to pay the mortgage, and they would have to forclose.

anyhoo, i'll be filed before any law suits (knock on wood)

Any particular reason you have not filed yet ??

I got sued quickly by Asset Acceptance and a bottom feeding nyc lawyer, without being a homeowner because one of my past places of employment was showing on my credit reports. JDB's are looking for easy money and they figured they could just garnish my wages. The nyc lawyer tried to do this, but I hadn't worked at that company for 5 years.

Typically there are three reasons an original creditor or a JDB will sue quickly.

      1. They want to put a lien on your property to force you to pay them to get it removed if you ever want to sell the property.

      2. They want to garnish your wages.

      3. They want to scare you into calling them and making payment arrangements.
You can't take a picture of this. It's already gone. ~~Nate, Six Feet Under

I am planning to file in another 2-3 weeks, probably first week of October. Been going back and forth with the attorney. He is a very nice man and I think pretty well connected too so hopefully when I get his buy-in everything will go smoothly. I mean, I was in his office and one of the judges called and asked him when he wants to schedule his motions to be heard.

Oh this is no good, I need to go back to my other nick name, if I say anything under this nick name no one takes me seriously....LOL.... I was trying to be low profile and stay off the radar but when TrailerTrash speaks no one listens..LMAO... better go log back on a BigBoy2U... its that nick name that gets me in trouble....

It just won't be 'fun" any more to not have catleg with me and Treehugger. Even Optimistic is going to file here shortly. Don't know what will happen when I finally do file... Eh, the phone never rings much anyways now as it is. Hate to end my only career I have as a 'professional debtor'.

Got to agree with you on all three. It is all about the money, interest and late fees which can make a bundle of money.

Sad to say, for some businesses, wealth is calculated based on the interest, late fees, overdrawn limit fees that is 'due' them.

I've yet to see a long-enough post to convince me that TT=BB.

Most people on the internet will just tell you that you're stupid and wrong.

BB will tell you 10 different ways, in detail.
