Is HBSC a collection agency? I've just started receiving calls from their 800 number and I don't have an account with them that I know of.

No, they are an OC. They are the lender behind Orchard Bank and many other types of cards (store cards in particular).Filed CH 7 9/30/2008

I know they do Best Buy store cards and a lot of other store cards but I can't remember any other specifics.Comment

They are the creditor behind many appliance and furniture stores...if you bought anything that is "12 months same as cash" or something like that they might be involved.Take $10 billion from the government and then sue me...nice
