is this a pretty good indicator that they are sending the accounts off for collections or just coincidence? How long after the account goes to collections do you start getting their calls! I am enjoying the peace and quiet though!

yep. you will get a lull 5-6 months after stop paying, about 2-3 weeks later a cascade of Ca's will start leaving messages. after you DV them, they will be sent on to law firms to sue you. mine are just hitting the law firms. I stopped paying Feb-March of this yearStopped Paying CC's 2/2009. Retained Attorney 1/10/2010 Filed 1/23/2010. Discharged 5/19/10 $187K CC, $240K 2nd,$417K 1st, No asset Ch-7

Hmmm. That would explain the almost complete drop off of calls since I sent out all the DV letters. Do any of them actually verify the debt and respond to the DV letter?Originally posted by albacore44 View Postafter you DV them, they will be sent on to law firms to sue you.1/15/10 Filed ch7 2/18/10 314 meeting

Yep. Citi would send me a years worth of CC statements for several of my cards after I Dv'ed their CA. If you Dv'ed and stated no contact by phone, that's why it quieted down. so since they now have no way to verbally harass you the next step is the real live law firm.Originally posted by pcn View PostHmmm.
