Am sorry to hear the trustee did that to you, But I'm no asset and own nothing of value, rent a dump and drive a bomber, make peanuts. Hope that matters some, think you will be ok, hang in there.

If you filed, they probably just received notification of such and sent you the form letter. Just my guess. I just received a very similar letter from AMEX. There letter was kinda stupid, bascially threatend me with my life if I attempted to use the card again. Kinda reading it I figured Gweedo the leg breaker would come after me if I did. Of course, the card was destoryed prior to the letter, so figure in my mind, they waisted a stamp, envelope, and a piece of paper, and some ink.Originally posted by debtisbadI need some information. I spoke with BOA 2 days ago and gave them my atty's name/told them I had filed. Today, I got a letter in the mail that said BOA had written off as bad debt and my credit would be severely affected (big suprise!). Anyway, at the bottom of the letter, it said to contact them immediately. Now I am worried this loan has gone to collections and I owe them. Do I need to contact them regarding BK?????Chapter 13 Filed 4/03/06  341 Meeting Complete 5/11/06 :yes2:

Wenderful...I know exactly how you feel. We were dealt the same blow by the U.S. Trustee on Day 59. Don't panic even though I did...turns out for us it was because she had a problem with one of our expenses; an expense that could have been denied and given us enough disposable income to throw us into a Chapter 13...I will not sugar coat it it was a very trying time until we had our 2004 Exam with her. In retrospect, I think we survived the trustee firing squad because we told her everything...the whole, gory, humiliating story. It was embarrassing but the alternative was much worse. Our lawyer's assistant kept telling us we had not done anything wrong so we didnt have to worry but it wasnt about that because we were completely honest. It is all about the trustee's interpretation. We were fortunate that our trustee had a heart. After hearing our story she told us we had been through enough and she hoped discharging the BK would give us a second chance which it has. Good luck...

I had the same problems with several cc companies. I was leaving my job anyway due to health problems, (unpreventable if I want to live to raise my small children.) Anyway, a company issued cell phone which had been issued to me for several years until just a short time before my departure was reissued to a co- worker who began receiving these calls. Can't imagine how they aquired the number as I don't recall giving it to them. I'm sure that he reported this to my employer. It's been tough in so many areas for us, and I truly understand how those who are just beginning the process must feel. Hang tough all!!

Just received 2 credit card bills in the mail on Saturday from Citi. Should I complain about the violation of the automatic stay, or just figure they were in the mail before notifications. I will say that the closing date on the bills was 2 days after the electronic notification was sent concerning the bk.Chapter 13 Filed 4/03/06  341 Meeting Complete 5/11/06 :yes2:

That's how they were calling me!! On my cell phone, as well.Originally posted by bkadvI had the same problems with several cc companies. I don't ever recall giving them that number. Only thing I could think is maybe during a spell over the move, when we didn't have a land line, maybe I called them on my cell and the number got recorded??!!
I feel for you that someone else was getting those calls and learning your personal business.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
