Can I be garnished, if I am not making anything?

From my understanding in Indiana, if you are taken to court and you're not working, there's nothing to garnish. If your name isn't on any accounts (checking or savings), they can't freeze anything.

We were in the same boat. I'm a SAHM and I was taken to court last year but I have no assets and my name isn't on anything. It was considered a stalemate and I was to notify them if I got a job or came into any type of money or property.

Hi jensu82. Welcome to the forum.

I moved this post into a thread of its own, where it will get more attention, than it would if stuck at the back of that old thread you found. Good wishes to you.

      15% of zero equals zero.
I guess it's different if it's a community property state.

I thought I was replying to a previous thread. I must've made a mistake somewhere.
