    FHA "Seasoning"

    Hi Everyone,

I am wondering if someone here can answer a few questions that I have. I am a bit confused about the whole "seasoning" period for an FHA loan.
    a few months from now.

My Chapter 7 Bk was discharged in 2013 and my home was included in the bankruptcy. A "deed in lieu" is supposed to be completed by the bank within the next couple of months.

Does the "seasoning" go from the bankruptcy discharge date or the "deed in lieu" date? And how many years is the "seasoning" period?

Do different FHA lenders use different guidelines?

    Thank you!
    Myo

I found an answer to my own question and I figured I would post it here in case this is a problem others are facing. I spoke to an actual mortgage lender and he told me that as long as the house was included in the bankruptcy, then the seasoning period is two years, as long as good credit is established.
