Pacer-like System for Foreclosure?

I thought I read somewhere there is a website that you can join, sort of like Pacer, to follow the details on a foreclosure case.

I know it's a vague question because one would assume it's by state, but has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

It's possible that it would be listed on the Court records since it has to go thru Court....... maybe under civil cases???

It may even be on Pacer listed under another title other than bankruptcy....

I thought one could check with the local county tresurer's office. I could be wrong though. My old neighbor said he saw the sale date of our home before it was even posted on the house. He said he got it off the county recorder's office website.

Yep - a big auction sign was posted in my front yard the week before the auction.................. LOVED THAT............. then everybody knew.........

On my day of auction I was still living in the house....... People showed up and went thru my home with a fine tooth comb......looking in cabinets, closets, etc......

I had my friends watching folks so they didn't lift anything.

You would have thought I had invited all those people to dinner the way they acted and flopped down on all the furniture in my home.

I was fortunte to be able to buy my home back after the auction and not have to move out of it.................. (God was looking after me)....

Yes Foreclosure is Public knowledge. Might not be the normal routine in your area to slap a posting on the house and a sign in the yard. That didn't happen to us. Or if it did, none of the neighbors or our Realtor told me about it.

I did hear about the ads placed in the paper. But I also know there are people who did not know.

The guy we had mowing the place last fall happened to drive by and see the grass was overgrown. He called us to see if we wanted the yard mowed. I told him about the Foreclosure. Instead of being rude, he was very sympathetic. He'd gone thru it years ago when he was younger himself.

When we wound up selling, I called him to mow the place for the new owners. He was actually tickled for us. I got a verbal pat on the back over the phone. The neighbor said he did an extra special job and the place looked real nice.

Since foreclosure is a state law level action, whether there is such a site will vary from state to state. I haven't really come across any. There are real estate investor type websites that provide their members with foreclosure notices, but these types of sites are very expensive. In most states, foreclosures have to posted publically for a number of weeks. This usually occors in an obscure newspaper. For example, the https://www.nevadalegalnews.com/ posts foreclosure notices in Nevada.

Sometimes, if the local county has a good websites, you can access foreclosures (foreclosures a filed in the county in which the residence is located) on the counties website.
