A Few more Questoins about Forclosure

I have already rented a townhouse and will be moving in next
Friday, August 31, 2007. Do I contact the mortgage company
after I move or before? I haven't paid my August statement. I will continue to pay the insurance even though I really can't afford to but everyone on this forum said it is absolutely necessary.

The mortgage company has called a few times this week, but I just haven't answered the phone. After I move, and when I tell them to forclose if that is what this forum suggests, will they keep calling daily or leave me alone. Just wondering. Also, in the state of Florida, are you served by a sherriff with forclosure paperwork or do you just get certified mail? I just want to know what I am up for in the next few months.

I appreciate everyone's expertise and help, all comments and help will be greatly appreciated by me, the worry wart, who hasn't slept in months worrying about what to do about my home.

    Thanks again for your help.

Once "foreclosure" actually begins, they will leave you alone. All you will get are the mandatory notices as part of the foreclosure process.

However, I don't know about the service issue. In most states, the creditor sends the notice by certified mail and will sometimes post the notice of foreclosure on the front door of the house (as well as publish the notice in the newspaper for a few weeks).

But each state has its own variations.
