    Foreclosure and Tax Liens

Our house is being foreclosed on July 5, 2005. The IRS was supposed to put a lien on this property awhile ago for some back taxes. In order to sell the house will the mortgage company have to clear this lien,(I mean pay the taxes)?

I have forclosure schedualed for July 12, I called the mortgage company and they told me I'm responsible for all back taxes to the point of forclosure sale. That sucks!
When someone buys your house at the sheriff's sale they don't actually get the full deed to the property, I think that's the way they can get out of paying your property taxes.
