How do you know if you are in foreclosure in Florida?
We stopped making mortgage payments in Oct 07. Received Notice of Default letter in December 07. Filed BK 7 in January, Countrywide filed for relief from stay at end of January. Motion to lift stay was granted in March.
We have received no other communication from CW other than monthly statement. Will we receive a letter from attorney or CW that notifies us that foreclosure has begun. We just don't want to be surprised.
I thought about calling CW and asking, but then thought it might be better to lay low. i.e. if I call it might put us on their radar. We would like to stay in the house as long as possible. Thanks for any advice.
