Has anyone had a lawyer help them get a loan modification through the new gov't plan? Currently my monthly payment far exceeds 31%. I'm behind two months. I'd rather not speak with my lender myself....

NACA is associated with this site, which is a non-profit and well-regarded organization that helps with modification.
I have not worked with them, but the apparently are very effective and can assist at nearly any stage. There is no fee for their service, but they do ask you to donate time, if possible, by helping at their seminars, if one is coming to your town.
