    Finally some justice...

Early on in my foreclosure I used the services of a firm called "Hope to Homeowners" an Irvine, CA. based firm also known as Infinity Group Services. I paid an upfront fee (yes I know, idiotic) and submitted paperwork for a loan mod. After a few months of the usual runaround and more research I filed complaints with the California Attorney Generals office. Imagine my great satisfaction when I pick up my Sunday paper and read the AP story on how the FTC and Feds are going after these sleaze bags...Lost the house anyway, but it sure is going to be fun to watch these lowlifes squirm in Federal Court....

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation. yes there are so many carpet baggers out there preying on desperate people. early on in my situation i looked into some of these debt negotiators, and realized it would be money down the drain.
