    Verify Occupancy

Hi all! It's been a long while since I last posted anything. My bankruptcy went very smooth and everything has been going very well. My family and I are currently renting a lovely home.
When I came home today I noticed a envelope on our kitchen table with bold letters stating IMPORTANT INFORMATION ENCLOSED. I opened the envelope and it was a notice to call National City Mortgage or Homeowners Hope Hotline. When I looked at the envelope again I noticed in small print someone had hand written our landlords name. I realized then that I shouldn't have opened this envelope, but it was too late.
My 19 year old son came home and told me that earlier in the day someone had pulled in our driveway and came to the door and asked for our landlord. My son told the person that we rent the home from the said landlord. This person was said she was there to verify occupancy. She gave my son the envelope and asked him to give it to the said landlord. He left the envelope on the kitchen table for me to look at.

Please Help! What does this mean??? Is our landlord about to be foreclosed on????

That would be my guess. But don't despair. This may be an opportunity for you to take over payments on the home and own it instead of renting it.
Pay no attention to anything I post. I graduated last in my class from a fly-by-night law school that no longer exists; I never studied or went to class; and I only post on internet forums when I'm too drunk to crawl away from the computer.

Is your landlord still collecting rent from you? Now would be a good time to save up your money if he's getting foreclosed on. You have time and possession on your hands.

I received the same letter from National City. It was sent after I receivced my NOD and right before they scheduled the trustee sale. Just thought I would let you know.

I called our landlord and she said it was none of my business. To say that our landlords have been difficult to deal with is an understatement. It's been like heck to get them to make repairs. We have been in the house for a year and we have two more years on our lease. Our rent is 1900 a month and it cost us a pretty penny to get into the house. We just don't have the money to move at this time. What do we do especially when the landlord won't tell us anything? I called our county clerks office and they didn't have anything on file stating the house is in foreclosure. I'm so worried that I'm sick to my stomach. Any advice would be most welcomed.
