Received a letter in the mail yesterday (always on a Fri after 5!!) that states it is a Foreclosure Conference Notice. I searched these boards and the web and can't find that term, specifically. The letter states that "a settlement conference is required in my mortgage foreclosure action". I *think* this is a last-ditch opportunity for me to go work something out with the bank--but I don't want to, as the house was incl in a Chap 7 that went through in Nov 09, and I am now just twiddling my thumbs waiting for the FC to go through. Letter tells me to bring all this financial info to the conference. I'm pretty sure I don't have to attend this conference--it's just another step they have to take in the FC process. I'll ask my atty, but it's the weekend... Anyone gotten one of these? Does this mean things are finally moving along? I haven't paid mortgage since May 09.
